In Florida, boat parades are kind of a big deal. Every town along the coast has their own, and there are often prizes for the most elaborately decorated boats. When I was little, we used to go to family friends' homes on the water and watch the Fort Lauderdale show. Last year was the first year I was on an actual boat for a parade (Delray/Boynton Beach) and it was one of the best parties ever. This year, there wasn't a boat available for us to take, but we still had a fantastic time over at A and T's. We were able to watch the parade from their balcony, A made an amazing dinner, and we decorated the tree. All in all, a very fun way to kick off the Christmas season!

Ah- I was just talking about how much I miss the Ft Laudy Boat Parade. Though I read not so hot reviews on FB this year. Everyone sad it was all club instead of Christmas music. True? It was def one of my favorite Christmas traditions growing up.
