What I Wore: Boat Parade Party

In Florida, boat parades are kind of a big deal. Every town along the coast has their own, and there are often prizes for the most elaborately decorated boats. When I was little, we used to go to family friends' homes on the water and watch the Fort Lauderdale show. Last year was the first year I was on an actual boat for a parade (Delray/Boynton Beach) and it was one of the best parties ever. This year, there wasn't a boat available for us to take, but we still had a fantastic time over at A and T's. We were able to watch the parade from their balcony, A made an amazing dinner, and we decorated the tree. All in all, a very fun way to kick off the Christmas season!

What I Wore: Blouse, Ralph Lauren; Skirt, Lands' End Canvas; Ballet flats, Tory Burch; Earrings, Kate Spade; Necklaces, Bauble Bar and Southern Proper; Rings, Kate Spade and Tiffany & Co.
AJK's AMAZING cheese dip ... I have to post this recipe soon, this stuff is legendary among our friends!
The boys debated the merits of blended vs. single malt scotch.
ACC and AJK decorating the tree.
There was a putting green on the balcony and ACC held the night's record for five consecutive holes-in-one.

I wasn't nearly as good, but definitely enjoyed the fresh air and the view!

  2. Ah- I was just talking about how much I miss the Ft Laudy Boat Parade. Though I read not so hot reviews on FB this year. Everyone sad it was all club instead of Christmas music. True? It was def one of my favorite Christmas traditions growing up.

  3. That last picture of you is SO cute! :) I must be a true northerner as I've never heard of a boat parade (other than at the lake during the 4th of July). Looks like you had a fab time with your friends! :)

  4. @KK Ft. Laud. parade is definitely not what it used to be - that's why we've done Delray/Boynton for the past two years.
